Favourite drivers and standing rides

Coming soon. Saving favourite drivers and standing rides are part of the Ryde app build, launching with the app. This article describes how they will work so you know what to expect.

My drivers

After a good trip, you will be able to tap Save driver to add that driver to My drivers, or save a driver from Activity by tapping a past trip with them.

Requesting a favourite driver

1. Open Ryde and start a booking.
2. Enter your destination.
3. Tap My drivers and select the driver you want.
4. Ryde will request them first. If they accept within the match window, they are assigned to your trip.
5. If they are busy or do not accept in time, Ryde quietly falls back to the nearest available driver so you are never stranded.

Standing rides

A standing ride is an automatic, recurring booking with the same driver.

How it will work:

1. After a successful request with a favourite driver, tap Make this a standing ride.
2. Choose the days, time, pickup and destination.
3. The driver receives an invitation to accept the standing arrangement.
4. Once accepted, the ride books automatically each scheduled day.

You will be able to pause or cancel standing rides anytime in Account > My drivers > Standing rides.

If a standing driver is unavailable

If your standing driver is unavailable for a specific day, Ryde will find the next best available driver for that trip and let you know the evening before.
